Taking the Hound of Heaven for a Walk.

Dog Poet Transmitting.......

“If voting made a difference, it would be illegal (Mark Twain). I guess we can ask George to comment on the matter. It seems to me we have a choice every four years between sold out dickhead number one and sold out dickhead number two. It's like that Mexican firefighter who named his twins A: Jose and Hose B. Jesus, Visible, that is not politically correct. Uh huh... and neither is Visible. I find myself going out of my way not to be politically correct on purpose, which is a kind -zero sum game. Then there are the Rothschilds. You can find out anything these days.

Here is the thing about bankers. They deal with numbers and that means that human life is just a cipher. Nothing is so rare as a banker's tears. People talk about the devil and they talk about god but they understand neither. Talk is the origin of the wind and as we should note, it blows all around us. The devil is God, as he is seen by the wicked. There is only one force that aspects itself according to the desires and perceptions of the one engaging it. You have to understand that it is all about you. Everything is based on how you see it and interpret and label it; according to that is your world made what it is. The term 'ayin' is translated as 'the eye'. It is also the term that refers to The Devil card in Tarot. This should make one aware of the power of appearances and the fact that they are a lie and conceal the light behind the darkness of their obscuring force.

I don't know much but I think the few things I do know are of cardinal importance, at least they are for me. There are millions of things that I have no curiosity about and that is because some things are primary, some things are secondary and then tertiary and so on and so on. For myself, I care only about those things that will bring me closer to the ineffable. Everything else is garbage to me.

I do not fear governments or the power of deluded religions. I do not fear any power or force in this world. What I fear is to displease my author. I am only here for a little while. I may well be in other environs for a good deal longer. Of course, time is relative. It takes longer to pass in one place than it does another. Time is different in a prison cell than it is in a day at the beach. One might presume the same applies to Heaven and Hell. Then again, both of these exist in the mind. There are locations where there is no time at all. Time is a great deal like gravity. Both of these will eventually make you bent over in your passage and possibly assisted by a cane.

Let us quote Lord Byron from Don Juan;

“Who hold the balance of the world? Who reign
O’er congress, whether royalist or liberal?
Who rouse the shirtless patriots of Spain? [*]
(That make old Europe’s journals squeak and gibber all.)
Who keep the world, both old and new, in pain
Or pleasure? Who make politics run glibber all?
The shade of Buonaparte’s noble daring? —
Jew Rothschild, and his fellow-Christian, Baring.
VI

Those, and the truly liberal Lafitte,
Are the true lords of Europe. Every loan
Is not a merely speculative hit,
But seats a nation or upsets a throne.
Republics also get involved a bit;
Columbia’s stock hath holders not unknown
On ‘Change; and even thy silver soil, Peru,
Must get itself discounted by a Jew.”

It's what it is. People can argue about the matter from one pole to another but the truth is what it is and why it winds up beaten, bloody and alone in an alley. People that argue have reasons for their position. Sometimes they are paid. Sometimes they are in fear and sometimes they are confused but history has long recorded the reality. The beauty of the truth is that it does not mind being beaten or abused through whatever medium it has chosen to express itself in. It lives forever. I daresay, very little else does besides Love. Ergo... Love of The Truth seems to be, to me, the greatest pursuit of all.

We've said here many times, when the truth takes off her clothes, the world disappears. Please file that thought for a more lengthy consideration. We don't seem to have the time or initiative to pursue important thoughts. The world is too much with us. We labor under intensities of force from conning towers very similar to cell phone towers, where subliminal messages come into our subconscious every day. The good news is that god is in charge and if you incline that way, you will be alright; regardless of whether you live or die. Residence here is temporary in any case. It is what you do here and what you are here that marks the itinerary of your passage onward.

Let us say you wind up in Columbus Ohio and you have a stay over; which translates into a lifetime. That is not the best place I can imagine to spend your time but what you do while you are there will account for where you get manifested into following after, whether that be a cockroach in a west Philly tenement or a rat into Baltimore's version of Chinatown, or somewhere so filled with light that you can hardly see for awhile. The thing is that this is really in your hands. No matter where you are, you do your best. It might seem like it is not enough but it is not the world you have to please, or even yourself. You have to please the one who put you in a position to do your best.

All over this world there are some number of people who are doing their best. Some of the greatest heroism and sacrifice goes unnoticed. Some of the greatest service occurs under the radar. As much as we have lost hope in this world, there are many who have not lost hope, who are not caught in the thrall and madness of confused desire. Though we are separated by distance and sometimes by variations on a theme, we are conjoined in our common goal to be free. We help each other with every small act of awareness in the moment. We are what we do and we do as we think and feel and that... according to what influences us. For myself, regardless of my human error, I rise every day in the hope that I might suddenly... and one day it will be true... be a better person; serving more tirelessly and purpose-filled than ever before.

In the end... as in the beginning... every little thing counts. Every opportunity in every day is another chance to outdo yourself, given all the failures of the past. It's kind of like that poem, The Hound of Heaven. It's too long and at times, self indulgent but I'll just post the opening lines-

I fled Him, down the nights and down the days;
I fled Him, down the arches of the years;
I fled Him, down the labyrinthine ways
Of my own mind; and in the mist of tears
I hid from Him, and under running laughter.
Up vistaed hopes I sped;
And shot, precipitated,
Adown Titanic glooms of chasmed fears,
From those strong Feet that followed, followed after.
But with unhurrying chase,
And unperturbèd pace,
Deliberate speed, majestic instancy,
They beat--and a Voice beat
More instant than the Feet--
"All things betray thee, who betrayest Me."

I think the last line says everything I would say were I capable.

End Transmission.......

To friends seen and unseen, I greet you with the Holy word Peace.

God bless you Les,

As always, your blogs continue to teach and inspire. They've become an unexpected source of catharsis and amazement for me. I don't know if our experience yesterday was a 'double-whopper' or a 'humdinger', either way, it was quite cool.
"Say it loud, say it clear."
Forgive me for any unsolicited bitterness that I inadvertently hurled in the past.

Regarding bankers and such, I don't think they even enjoy cooked frogs, they just get-off on watching them boil. When is an alleged impending "economic collapse" reality and when is just mere speculation/propaganda? Remember, a large portion of so-called fundamentalist Christianity, of the Alex Jones, Bill Cooper, Jack Van Impe, variety or otherwise, NEED this collapse to manifest so as to validate alleged scriptural prophecy. They need this obsessive, chip-implanting, "beast" to manifest. I've watched the bottom line of the company I work for to increase progressively post 9/11. Fiscal year's 2013 to 2015 expanded 13.5% across the board. Unprecedented economic growth...for them. They take holidays, they fly the world, their children are living off their investments and they all have straight and gorgeous teeth. Collapse is becoming harder and harder to reconcile.

"Everything is based on how you see it and interpret and label it;"

Indeed. Seems pretty simple, but it turns out we really DO get to choose, in every instant, despite what any cranial interlopers may feel the need to contribute to the contrary. Why did it take so long to fully integrate that?

That labeling part keeps popping up too and creates a visceral response. Something about naming and using words and how that relates to the BS I see with gender "issues" and other PC manifestations. Further finely refined methods to deepen the illusion of divide between us, but I sense a deeper mechanism at work too. Words and their use are much more powerful in the realm of "magic" and subtler manipulations of our common experience, or so it is suggested by observations internal and external.

I thought this was an Origami btw, not that labels really mean anything. It nourishes, and thus is good and welcome. Gratitude arises. You are coming through loud and clear.

Les,

It's good to see that you're more tuned-in, and less melancholic, than were the last few equally inspirational epistles.

Got you on RSS ticker now, so I'll endeavor to be one of the first-respondents from here on in.

Keep it up.

Having lived in less-than-fabulous digs in West Philly for some twenty years, I can attest to the cockroach reality. Synchronicity? ? lolol

Dear Vis,

Vis - 'What I fear is to displease my author.’

For some time I have pondered how the Lord’s prayer says, 'Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven’. The thing is how am I supposed to know what the Lord wills in Heaven in order to do so on earth?

I have no way of knowing! There is always the Bible but I find it often elicits more questions than exact answers for me. This then leaves me with only my inner knowing and how I resonate with the topic at hand.

Vis - 'The devil is God, as he is seen by the wicked.’

Your comment on who God is according to who we are and how we see him is very pertinent to me. I see God as beneficent, which is a hard stance to maintain sometimes with all the apparent negative stuff going on in this world. If it were not for my understanding of karma I would not be able to wrap my head around the suffering at all.

I pray every day for loving guidance so I do not do the wrong thing, but I often do, the wrong thing that is. The dichotomy for me is that I often only become aware of what the correct course of action is by first undertaking its counterpart. By suffering from bad choices I am guided back to what is the correct choice, at least for me, which I believe is the will of God, but that would be subjective because not everyone is on the same page as me. Quantum physics would have us believe that every choice leads to different realities. If this is the case than it would seem very possible that our choices are what leads us to either Heaven or Hell. If this is the case than it makes perfect sense why resonating with love is the best guide available to us, which is consistent with Jesus’ advice to live by the golden rule, to do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
This advice seems to parallel my understanding of karma as well. For this reason I believe your advice to to do one’s best, even though it might seem like it is not enough, is the best one can do, because as you say, it is not the world you have to please, or even yourself, but the one who put you in the position to do your best, and the only way I know whether I have succeeded or failed in relation to such endeavours is by listening to my inner knowing, which I call my conscience.

I am glad to hear good fortune has been smiling upon you lately.

Luv Kazz

As it so happens, my friend, I've been in West Philly too. And I am not that far away now but no roaches here, just bikinis and casinos, though I would have to drive to find either and I don't care neither.

Hi Visible. Columbus, Ohio. I bought an abortion there 20 years ago. It fills me with fear and sadness. I think on that day I became mulch and have been walking around trying to pretend I'm not ever since. I don't know.

Vis, a good Visible Origami! (grin) Seriously, some in-sights to ponder. "There is only one force that aspects itself according to the desires and perceptions of the one engaging it." Wow.

Other good Don Juan words (grin), here and here.

On doing the best we can, that may even be related to karma. A few folks have said that karma (of itself) may not exist; that we create the 'future consequences' now known as karma because of our own 'judgment' of ourselves and our actions. In a way, the future 'manifestation' comes from thought plus emotion (sent off to Higher Self), as always.

If we are doing the best we can - even if we go-down in the middle of it - there might not be the visceral 'judgment' of ourselves. (Perhaps even some 'clapping' from our higher nature.) So, 'future consequences' either might not occur or might even be positive.

Just a thought on doing the best we can...

Best Wishes,
Ray B.

P.S. Psychopaths and sociopaths still have emotions, even if walled-off from general perception. The 'instinctive' reaction will still get them, even if they do not consciously feel what they are doing. In one way, "do unto others" was a 'karma' warning to head-bound psychopaths and sociopaths...

As European elites ceased to believe in Christianity, they began to convert to ideologies, to what Dr. Russell Kirk called “secular religions.”

For a time, these secular religions — Marxism-Leninism, fascism, Nazism — captured the hearts and minds of millions. But almost all were among the gods that failed in the 20th century.

Now Western Man embraces the newer religions: egalitarianism, democratism, capitalism, feminism, One Worldism, environmentalism.

These, too, give meaning to the lives of millions, but these, too, are inadequate substitutes for the faith that created the West.

For they lack what Christianity gave man — a cause not only to live for, and die for, but a moral code to live by, with the promise that, at the end a life so lived, would come eternal life. Islam, too, holds out that promise.

Secularism, however, has nothing on offer to match that hope.

The World Is Too Much With Us
Related Poem Content Details

By William Wordsworth

The world is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;—
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon;
The winds that will be howling at all hours,
And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers;
For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
It moves us not. Great God! I’d rather be
A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
Or hear old Triton blow his wreathèd horn.

Hello.
@via Pat Buchanan. Couldn't we regard communism, nazism, et al as various manifestations of a secular humanism rooted in a violent 'evolution' and a survival of the "fittest"? Can we not regard Christianity and Islam as "semitic" ideologies obviously rooted in the writings of "the people of book"? A people who reject both Christianity and Islam yet continue to prosper despite their machinations within the secular humanism of the 20th century? Communism itself being their pride and joy and the alleged impetus behind Nazism. As a wayward "Christian" I once sought signs of appreciated loyalties, particularly for my people, my "home goys"; the Germans. The Germans and their genius ala Guttenberg, JS Bach, Martin Luther.
Taking the orthodox view of WWII, where did Christianity lose its momentum and allow for the ascension of the alleged beast known as Hitler and Nazism, coupled with the alleged attempted annihilation of "the people of the book"? Taking the "unorthodox" view of WWII, why did Christian Germany experience such horror FROM the people of the book? The Germans knew the Jewish beast behind Communism and were well aware of what they did to Christian Russia. Of course it makes no sense, and the alleged Albert Pike letter doesn't help me either.
Forgive me if this has meandered. It's 6:10 am, and I've barely slept.

And who peretuates and profits from victimISM? Man, liberalISM has created a generation of wusses on the American campus. Occidental college in California encourages students to report perceived "micro-aggressions". i.e. saying "all lives matter" for instance is a micro-aggression that potentially veils racISM.
Please don't think that Canada is in any way immune to Gender Studies, feminISM101, white privilegeISM. I was in a coffee shop line and was compelled to listen to the deluded ramblings of some fat-assed Indian/Pakistani bitch who must have said "white privilege" five times within five mins. You can see, if not smell, how they are fomenting division and strife. I really wanted to haul her ass off to her people and plant her within the lowliest, brown-privileged caste system I can find and let her feast on shit-packed samosas. But that's not within my "white privilege", nor is it my true desire.
Okay then, everybody have a good day!

Dearest Les
You find Francis Thompson self indulgent, myself I would say the unlovely wordsmithing of an opium addled school boy. But what is of interest to me was the Hounds of Heaven. Do you suppose they are the Roman Catholic equivalent to the Monkey-on-a-stick? The only man I know to surrender to the Hounds is an reformed alcoholic who became a RC priest. Certainly the Monkey-on-a-stick mutters in my ear since walking out on Bhakti Yoga but that is only one layer of spiritual being and in my own,admittedly egocentric, opinion about as enlightened as Born-again Christians.
Your posts are an absolute joy,always filled with astounding diversity.

Verdine White's bass playing alone on ONE Earth, Wind, & Fire song is sufficient to mop the floor with Kanye's whole catalogue.

"Hearts of fire creates love desire
Take you high and higher to the world you belong
Hearts of fire creates love desire
High and higher to your place on the throne

We've come together on this special day
To sing our message LOUD AND CLEAR
Looking back we've touched on sorrowful days
Future pass, they disappear

You will find peace of mind
If you look way down in your soul
Don't hesitate 'cause the world seems cold
Stay young at heart 'cause you're never (never, never,..) old at heart

That's the way of the world
Plant your flower and you grow a pearl
A child is born with a heart of gold
The way of the world makes his heart grow cold"
